It's Not Okay: Toolkit to tackle sexism and sexual harassment

A free toolkit has been published to help prevent and tackle sexism and sexual harassment in schools and colleges.

The suite of National Education Union (NEU) resources is a response to concerns from its members that sexism and sexual harassment is still far too common an occurrence in schools.

Called It's Not OK, the resources are designed to support schools in understanding what a whole school approach to preventing sexual harassment looks like and offer tips for working with students and protecting the rights of professionals.

Kevin Courtney, joint general secretary of the NEU, said:“Sexual harassment has become so normalised in schools that it means for many girls, they don’t feel there is anything they can do about it, and that needs to change.
