Diary of an NQT: A focus on years 10 and 11

NQTs
The focus is on year 11 and exam preparation is well underway for our NQT diarist – but he cannot forget his year 10 pupils, who also need his attention

As I write this, it is currently the second week of the Easter holidays. I know a lot of people who are not in the teaching profession love to moan about the holidays that teachers get, but I feel that we have earned this two-week break – just as we earn the other breaks we get during the year.

The vast majority of my time during Easter has been spent doing not a lot at all and generally just catching up with the things that you let slip at home during term-time.

It is a great time to socialise and catch up with family and friends who are sometimes hard to see during the madness of a general school week.
