NDNA is highlighting some shining examples of good practice in the PVI sector with a series of case studies, featured on its website.
The 15 case studies, put together as part of a project with the DCSF, are aimed at raising local authorities' awareness of existing practice and providing inspiration to other nurseries looking for ways to improve.
The case studies provide examples of CPD, effective management of staff, reflective practice and developing partnerships with parents. They also show how they are achieving sustainability within their particular locations.
NDNA chief executive Purnima Tanuku says, 'With the Childcare Act 2006 giving local authorities a duty to secure sufficient, high-quality childcare, the case studies are a useful way for them to develop an understanding of how providers in all sectors ensure they deliver a high-quality service, and support the retention of their teams.'
