Rainbow nursery in Lyne, Surrey, now boasts a collection of donkeys,goats, sheep, guinea pigs and rabbits as well as an aviary full ofbirds. Most of the animals were donated to the nursery, including thegoats, which were once used by the Ministry of Defence to test theeffects of decompression sickness resulting from time spent underwaterin submarines.
About 750 people attended the nursery's 16th annual fun day and enjoyeda Mexican band, a clown, a Punch and Judy Show, a magician and facepainting.
Philippa Apthorp, nursery manager, said, 'The farm is officially openbut we are not saying that the venture is complete - for example, wehaven't got any pigs yet!
