The theme for Anti-Bullying Week, which will run from 12-16 November 2018, has been announced as ‘Choose Respect’.
The Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA), which coordinates the annual campaign, chose the theme based on a consultation with more than 800 children, teachers and members.
ABA said responses suggested children and young people can set a positive example by opting to respect each other at school, in their homes and communities, and online, and showing bullying as a behaviour choice was a top priority.
ABA will hold an ‘Odd Socks Day’ on the first day of Anti-Bullying Week, encouraging children to wear odd socks to school to raise money for the organisation.
