Little Apples of Bramley won praise from judges for its snack bar,healthy packed lunch club, and making food part of play.
The awards, organised by online directory What's On 4 Little Ones andsponsored by children's food company Organix, were launched last year tohighlight the best pre-school activities. The awards cover 20 differentcategories, ranging from best antenatal class to best messy playclass.
This year 439 groups and settings were nominated by parents and morethan 3,600 online votes were cast.
What's on 4 Little Ones co-founder Sam Willoughby said, 'Teachers andorganisers put a lot of heart and soul into their activities, so this isa great way for us all to say thank you.'
Sarah Naylor, play leader at Little Apples, said, 'We are very proud tohave received this award, as it shows our commitment to promotinghealthy eating by the under-fives. We hope that this will encourage themto think about healthy eating when they start school.'
Little Apples received a healthy food hamper from Organix and acertificate.
Another winner was the UK-wide local music class provider Monkey Music,who received 100 for the Best Toddler Development Class.
