The Criminal Records Bureau has announced the appointment of Steve Long as its new interim chief executive. Mr Long, who previously worked for the CRB as Director of Service Delivery, replaces Vince Gaskell, who has joined the Identity and Passport Service. Mr Long said, 'This will be an exciting year for the CRB and I look forward to meeting with staff and stakeholders in the coming weeks and months.' Established in March 2002, the CRB provides information to employers to help identify candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially involving children or vulnerable adults.
