* developing skills in observing, asking questions, predicting, suggesting reasons, experimenting and investigating, talking about what has been observed and donen developing an interest and enjoyment in making and constructing using a range of materials (wooden blocks, construction sets, reclaimed materials), experimenting and persevering with joining and fixing

* developing an interest in and talking about how things work

* developing 'making' skills and moving towards planning and designing before making

* interest in ICT and skills in using various forms of technology, including ICT

* developing interest in and awareness of the past in relation to self and family

* interest in and awareness of the local environment and area and some of its features

* interest in and awareness of other parts of the world, that is relevant to the child's own experience or gained through other sources.
