As part of the Ella's Explorers Feed Our Senses initiative, the company is offering free activity packs linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage to 12,000 nurseries that care for children aged from four to 18 months.
Included in the packs are sensory games, songs and ideas for making mealtimes fun and encouraging the development of children's five senses so they can recognise and enjoy the different smells, tastes and textures of a range of healthy foods.
It is hoped that the initiative will foster good eating habits in children that can last a lifetime.
The new scheme also supports Ella's Kitchen's work with the University of Reading and Henley Business School on research into babies' and toddlers' sensory development and how it influences their eating habits and food preferences.
Early years settings can also earn money for their chosen charity by signing up to TerraCycle and becoming a collection centre for Ella's Kitchen. Each food pouch that nurseries send to be recycled will earn them 2p.
