Bear necessities

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? can provide the inspiration for a creative look at animals, says Sue Chambers One of our classrooms decided to base its project on Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? (Puffin, 4.99), in which a sequence of animals of different colours are asked what they see, ending with the question being asked of a group of children.

One of our classrooms decided to base its project on Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? (Puffin, 4.99), in which a sequence of animals of different colours are asked what they see, ending with the question being asked of a group of children.

The class caters for 11 full-time and 22 part-time, (11 morning and 11 afternoon) children, of which five have special needs.

It was decided to decorate the room with story characters during the Fun Week and to spend the rest of the term drawing out all of the possible learning experiences offered by a topic on colour.
