Busy Bees staff are set to conquer Hadrian's Wall

A group of hardy walkers from Busy Bees nurseries are trekking 83.5 miles alongside Hadrian's Wall in the north of England to raise money for the NSPCC.

Eleven staff from the nurseries' head office, including managingdirector Lyn Woodward and operations director Marg Randles, set off lastThursday from Wallsend in Newcastle.

On Monday, Rebekah Gill of Busy Bees told Nursery World that they wereon course to complete the walk, which finishes in Bowness, by Tuesdayafternoon and had averaged around 16 miles a day over the weekend.

She said, 'We've just done 60 miles and we're heading to Carlisle today.We've got a good handful of blisters throughout the group, but we're allenjoying it!' She added, 'We're helping children in the UK who reallyneed it.'

To date, Busy Bees and the children and parents at all the group's thenurseries have raised 9,100 for the NSPCC, which is the nurserychain's chosen charity.
