Crescent Day Nursery is a renovation of two listed buildings retaining significant architectural features. It includes large, light-filled indoor spaces over two floors, as well as a garden with a custom-built ‘Imagination Station’ fort, a cycle track complete with garage and pumps, and growing beds for children to learn maths, science and environmental messages as they plant and harvest vegetables.
‘We have to engage a child’s natural curiosity and wonder at the earliest opportunity and our stimulating and creative play and learning spaces inside and in the garden do just that,’ said nursery manager Jo Hassan.
