Teach First is calling on professionals working with children to come up with innovative ideas to tackle educational disadvantage, for a chance to win up to 20,000 worth of funding.

Entrants to the Teach First 2013 Innovation awards must illustrate how their idea will not only boost but offer a long-term solution to supporting the academic attainment of pupils from low-income backgrounds.
The winning individuals or teams will be offered up to £20,000 of funding and on-going expertise and support.
The charity is also offering individuals the chance of securing one of two salaried positions.
This is the first year that the award is open to professionals outside of Teach First.
Flora Letanka, Teach First associate director, said, ‘This year we are absolutely delighted to be able to offer this incredible prize for our innovation award. This award is open to anyone who has an idea that has real potential to make a positive impact on educational disadvantage in the UK.’
