The wacky relay saw more than 20 young people travel 130 miles passing the 'baton', containing responses to the charter, across Gateshead's five neighbourhood areas.
The race, co-ordinated by Gateshead Council, was designed to get young people active during half term and coincided with National Youth Work Week.
Councillor Green said, 'Through education, youth and community channels or via their parents, guardians or social workers, most of the borough's youth will be directly affected by decisions Gateshead Council makes about their future. That's why it's vital to hear their views on how services for young people should be delivered - views which will form the backbone of the charter.'
