Children's radio call for BBC

The BBC has been urged to increase its commitment to children's radio programming and accept a partnership proposal from the commercial sector.

The industry body for commercial radio, RadioCentre, wants the BBC to open up its archive of children's programming for broadcast on digital station Fun Kids, or for the BBC to produce a show on Fun Kids. Currently the BBC broadcasts children's programmes for four hours a day on digital station Radio 7.
