Co-operative Childcare to open flagship nursery

The Co-operative Childcare is investing more than 500,000 to create a new flagship nursery in North London to meet increased demand for places in the area.

The new setting will replace the group’s existing 50-place nursery one mile away in Palmer’s Green. Children and staff  from the Palmer’s Green nursery will move to the new building once it is completed.

Mike Abbott, group general manager at Co-operative childcare, which operates 49 nurseries and two after- school clubs said, ‘We are very excited about the new nursery which will be bigger and enable us to offer more facilities in bright and airy rooms.

‘It will have a dedicated baby unit with its own rooftop garden, while the one to two-year-olds and pre-school children will have access to their own outdoor areas. In addition, the new nursery will have a sensory room, which will be available for all children to experience.’
