Council consults on cuts to children's centres

The London Borough of Lewisham is considering making 'radical' cuts to its early years services, Nursery World has learned.

The council, which says it spends £10m a year on children's centres, said that it may have to reduce the number of children's centres and the range of services available for vulnerable families. The council has launched a public consultation on where cuts should be made.
