Booking is now open for our Music Teacher Summit: Careers, Assessment and Teaching Skills, running 15-17 June 2021. The three-day online conference is aimed at all music teachers (classroom and peripatetic) and offers professional development, inspiration and reassurance.
Delivered by a wide range of experts, the CPD-certified event has been organised as three themed days of keynotes and practical sessions. There will be time for questions at the end of each session. Day 1 is on ‘Careers’ and will cover the range of qualifications on offer for music educators, advice on building your teaching portfolio and how to manage safeguarding.
Day 2 focuses on ‘Assessments’, covering tips for getting the most out of your recording equipment, guidance on how to support your students through GCSE and A Level performances, and ideas for turning instrumental and vocal assessments into a positive experience for all.
The final day on ‘Teaching Skills’ will cover keeping your students healthy and realising their full potential, increasing student, parent and staff engagement with music in school, and using online platforms for posting performances, including tips for helping your students learn to monetise their work online.
Our jam-packed summit will be guided by the expertise of our speakers: Guy Forbat, Karen Marshall, Seb Skelly, Isabelle Knight, Jonathan Savage, a BAPAM healthcare expert, David Guinane, John Robinson and James Manwaring.
The Music Teacher Summit costs delegates £99 + VAT to attend.
