The association will provide a forum where trainers and consultants will be able to discuss and share ideas, as well as have a code of conduct. It will also serve as a platform for local authorities and early years settings.
Mrs Henry, who writes regularly for Nursery World, said, ‘The idea for NEYTCO has been on my mind for a while as a place where like-minded colleagues can meet with the intention of networking, setting up standards, conferences, sharing resources and ideas.'
The inaugural meeting will take place later this month. ‘We’ve been advertising and promoting the event online and already more than 50 people have expressed an interest. I think this shows that the sector needs a space for trainers and consultants to work together and I hope that our first meeting will be a springboard for further developments.’
