EYP Update: Call for Applicants - Start the New Year with EYP

January provides another opportunity to sign up for one of the pathways to become an Early Years Professional. You could join the 1,900 new applicants who enrolled for the course in September and help swell the 2,537 individuals who have now attained the status.

Training is fully funded for candidates working in the private,voluntary and independent sectors. Funding is also available for thoseworking in children's centres.

The pathways cater for varying levels of expertise and knowledge.Validation, Short and Long Pathways are for practitioners who arealready working in the sector, including registered childminders.

The Full Pathway is designed to help career changers and recentgraduates move successfully into an early years career.

'Gaining the status is a great opportunity for those working in earlyyears to develop their own skills, to support their colleagues and toplay a vital role in shaping the most important years of a child'slife,' says the CWDC's Thom Crabbe. 'It is a gold standard in workingwith the under-fives.'
