Each organisation will deliver training in a particular geographical area and has an agreed funding allocation for candidates. Most will work with a range of consortia partners across a number of sites, to ensure that training is accessible to candidates nationwide.
Following the competitive tender, the eight organisations are:
Over 1,700 CWDC-funded candidates now have the opportunity to enrol on the programme in January 2012, adding to the 8,300 accredited EYPs and 1,800 candidates currently in training.
Future intakes will run from January 2012 until March 2014 with over 7,000 new EYPs expected to enrol over this period.
