The former owner of a nursery in Gloucester where a 16-month-old child died after wrapping a drawstring bag around her neck was fined 35,000 last Wednesday, after a judge found her staff had shown 'gross incompetence'. Molly Cunliffe died at Tiddlywinks nursery after becoming entangled in the loops of a clothes bag while being left unattended for more than 20 minutes. The inquest jury heard that Molly had been left in the care of a 17-year-old student and an unqualified member of staff while senior managers held a meeting upstairs.
