Tne final guidance on the early learning goals has just been released, with the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and its working party of early years experts delighted with both its content and format.
'We're absolutely delighted with this format,' says head of the QCA early years team, Lesley Staggs. 'It is detailed, it will be accessible and we've tried to be practical throughout. We see this as a core reference document.'
Called Curriculum guidance for the foundation stage, the document runs to 128 pages and builds on Early Learning Goals, the interim guidance published last October.
