The House of Commons Library has updated its briefing paper, published last month, on Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport in Schools to now include the APPG’s report on Primary PE and Sport Premium.
Published in February, the APPG’s report looked at how schools are spending the Primary PE and Sports Funding and recommended head teachers be more accountable for how they use the investment.
The APPG on a Fit and Healthy Childhood is co-chaired by Baroness Floella Benjamin and has members from across the political parties.
It follows the recent publication of the Government’s School Sport and Activity Action Plan, which included suggestions from the same APPG report including a review of initial teacher training to ensure teachers have the right training and development to deliver high-quality PE lessons.
