As the sheet music division of Warwick Music Group, Warwick Music Publishing have joined forces with HLE to publish their education titles for students and teachers.
Warwick brought a catalogue over 1,000 titles to the publishing firm, covering an array of genres and abilities, and an extensive collection of examination board syllabi. They also shared their representation of composers from around the globe, including a number of British composers such as Mark Nightingale, Kay Charlton and John Kenny.
As of 14 June, Music dealers can now add titles from Warwick Music Publishing to their HLE orders, leaving Warwick to use its website for digital-only purchases.
Steven Greenall, CEO of Warwick Music Group, said: ‘We are delighted to find such an outstanding partner in Hal Leonard whose extensive dealer network and distribution expertise will ensure a new international market for our carefully curated print catalogue.
‘As we build on the synergies between our instrument and publishing businesses, it was important to work with a partner who shares our purpose and mission to make music accessible, sustainable and fun!’
HLE’s business development director, Tom Farncombe, said: ‘HLE is thrilled to represent Warwick Music in print, which further bolsters HLE’s position as the leading distributor of music education resources. This vibrant catalogue has become hugely significant among music teachers, with Warwick’s roster of composers populating the major exam board brass syllabuses.
‘We are very much looking forward to working with Steven and the Warwick team to find new audiences and grow sales - Warwick’s whole ethos aligns with HLE’s vision of lifelong music-making for everyone, and so this is a perfect partnership.’
Prior to developing musical instruments in 2010, Warwick Music started as a specialist brass and wind publisher in 1994, developing some of the titles HLE now publishes today.
