Have your say on literacy in the early years

The National Literacy Trust (NLT) is inviting early years practitioners to take part in its 2014 survey on early years literacy.

The charity is asking practitioners who work with children aged between three and five to complete an online survey exploring how they support children’s developing literacy skills, as well as their own literacy practices, both within their setting and at home.

The survey, which takes around ten minutes to complete, also touches on the role technology might play in developing children’s language and reading skills in the early years.

Practitioners who complete the survey will be entered into a draw to win one of four prizes of £100 in Amazon vouchers.

The survey is bring run by the NLT for the second year running as part of a long-term research project in partnership with Pearson, investigating parental and practitioner attitudes to literacy, which aims to track changes over time and build a continuous picture of early years literacy in the UK.
