The move by the group of 68 nurseries to rebrand comes after Oakley Capital became a major stakeholder in the business in May.
ICP Education was formed in 2020 when ICP Nurseries, which was established in 2016, merged with Cresswell Nurseries.
Despite the name change and a new logo for the group, all the nurseries will retain their own individual branding.
ICP’s executive chairman Stephen Booty said, ‘We chose Bright Stars as it celebrates the children and staff in our nurseries. It is also the name of one of the nurseries within our group.
‘The little boy and girl in our new logo represent the children that we care for and support to learn, reaching for the stars. The stars represent each of the five years that most children are with us, growing from a little star into the biggest and brightest star.'
Booty confirmed the group will continue with the same strategy for growth, buying only good and outstanding settings in affluent areas with 65 or more places, adding that they have more acquisitions ‘in the pipeline’.
He explained, 'We continue to seek new settings that complement the ethos and values of our organisation. Retaining the individuality and uniqueness of each setting within their local communities, allowing them to keep their own brand and culture, is very important to us. Our role is to nurture the nurseries and staff teams and support them to continue to grow and deliver outstanding experiences for the children.'
