The team will visit 43 areas with the highest rates of infant mortalityto deliver intensive four-day programmes of interviews, workshops andtailored local support. Local health workers will be given advice ondealing with maternal obesity, smoking, teenage pregnancy, housing andchild poverty, which are all thought to be linked to the life expectancyof children.
