The deal brings the total number of settings operated by Just Childcare to 65, offering 4,920 childcare places.
This is the group’s third acquisition of 2021 and their first since Partou - the largest Dutch nursery group - bought Just Childcare earlier in the year.
It comes after Just Childcare sold the freeholds of 23 of its nurseries this month to property investor LXi REIT in a deal costing £34m.
David Johnson, chief executive at Just Childcare, said, ‘We are absolutely delighted that the owners of Chestnuts have chosen Just Childcare to continue the amazing work they and their nursery teams have done over the past 18 years. The three nurseries are all renowned for providing exceptional childcare to families in their local communities.
‘We are excited to build further on our strong base in the south-west and look forward to working alongside the nursery’s long-standing team of early years professionals to develop the success of their settings further.’
