This month alone, the rapidly expanding group has acquired 100-place Nurture Me Day Nursery in Lutterworth, Leicestershire and Puddleducks Day Nursery in Warrington – located on grounds of a Church of England primary school.

This is on top of the three settings it purchased in February and the nine sites it acquired in January when the group also opened a brand new, purpose built setting in Stanley Square in Trafford.

As of 30 November last year, Kids Planet, which employs over 5,000 staff, had 172 nurseries, according to Nursery World’s Nursery Chains 2024 supplement.

David Eaves, director of childcare & education at Christie & Co, which brokered the sale of Kids Planet’s latest acquisition, Nurture Me Day Nursery, said that they are ‘continung to see an exceptional level of demand for high-quality childcare businesses across the East Midlands from a range of buyers.

He went on to say that ‘demand is outstripping supply in the current market, creating an excellent opportunity for nursery owners to maximise the value they can achieve in a sale process’.
