Lights, camera, action, financial advice from children's centre

A children's centre has played a starring role in a film to promote money guidance sessions run at the centre.

Staff, parents and children from Welcome Children's Centre in Wembley, London, were filmed for independent body Consumer Financial Education Body (CFEB), which holds face-to-face money guidance sessions at the centre once a month.

The Moneymadeclear sessions are offered free to parents and staff. Users can book a one-to-one appointment with an impartial financial adviser to discuss mortgages, loans, redundancy, tax or savings. Ten centres across the borough of Brent are currently offering the Moneymadeclear sessions.

The centre was approached by CFEB's regional manager Isabella Priest, who had worked with the centre manager Sasi Srinivasan in the past, to appear in the film.

Ms Srinivasan said, 'It was a real honour to be asked to take part in the film. Our centre has been one of the first to host these sessions by CFEB and they have been extremely popular both with staff and parents. They help people with an immediate issue and educate them on financial matters, which improves financial well-being in the long term.'
