The average child's pocket money has risen for the first time in seven years, up to 6.25 per week, reported the Guardian.

According to Halifax's Pocket Money Survey 2011, children in London getthe most - 7.63 a week, compared with 5.15 for children inthe south-west.

Researchers have created a vest for men which they claim replicates thefeeling of being pregnant, said the Daily Mail. The 'Mummy Tummy' vestmimics the effect of nine months of weight gain and even copies thesensation of a baby kicking inside. Created by Kanagawa Institute ofTechnology in Japan, the vest is filled with water to match the extraweight a woman carries when she is pregnant.
