Music Teacher magazine has launched its second CPD-certified technology conference, set to take place online from 16-18 November 2021.
Following the success of last year’s event and the rise of technological engagement over the past 18 months, the conference is aimed at music teachers who want to discover new and accessible ways to engage students through technology, pandemic or not.
The conference will run from 4:30pm to 7pm daily, with three practical, keynote or panel-style sessions led by practising music teachers each evening.
Across the three days, delegates will benefit from 40-minute sessions on a wide range of topics such as curriculum, free software, accessible tech, in-school recording, audio editing, building a school studio, and music production. There will be time set aside for questions at the end of each session.
Drawing on their experience as primary, secondary and higher education music educators, our expert speakers include Phoebe Pope, James Manwaring, Leslie-Gaston Bird, Tim Hallas, Dale Wills, Sonia Allori, Frazer Hinchley, and Liz Dunbar.
Harriet Clifford, editor of Music Teacher, conference programmer and chair, said: ‘We’re so excited to welcome you to our second Music Technology in Education online conference, particularly now, when technology’s place in the classroom has never been more prominent.
‘I hope that we’ve built on the success of last year’s event to programme an unmissable professional development opportunity that’s even more dynamic, relevant and practical. It was really important to us that our speakers are practising music educators, so that their guidance and expertise are fully in line with your day-to-day experience. I’m looking forward to seeing you there.’
Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend virtual exhibitions each day, and short networking breaks have been scheduled into the programme.
Registration is now open. Tickets are £99 + VAT (£118.80) per person, which provides on-demand access to all sessions for up to three months after the live conference date, and access to handouts and materials shared during the live sessions.
