Bouncy, bouncy up and down

Bouncy, bouncy off to town

Bouncy UP (raise the knees up and pause) and bouncy DOWN (tip the knees down, or even let the child fall between them)

Bouncy, bouncy all around (joggle fast to end.)

Is it wise to suggest this knee-bouncing rhyme to you, I wonder? The day I started to play it with some two-year-olds in daycare I had to do it again, and again, and again. But they enjoyed it so much it was very worthwhile.

There are many more of these traditional knee-bouncing rhymes that everyone knows from their own childhood, and children's rhyme books from many traditions will provide a rich repertoire.
