To achieve B Corporation (B Corp) status, companies must undergo rigorous assessment of their policies, practices, mission, ethics, accountability and transparency.
N Family Club believes in the promotion of environmental awareness at an early age, stating that this should ‘not be niche, but the norm’.
Ways the nursery group tries to be sustainable includes giving families reusable wet bags for dirty laundry, using backpacks made from recycled plastics and choosing reusable energy sources.
Following the announcement of their B Corp status, the nursery group has committed to delivering at least 80 fully funded childcare places by 2026 and 100 plus places annually after this.
N Family Club established its bursary scheme in 2021 to offer fully funded places to children in their local communities who otherwise would not be able to pay for hours over the free entitlement.
The nursery group has also partnered with War Child to support children across the globe who are victims of violence and conflict. Their donations are specifically directed towards Early Learning and Development Centres.
Simone Carter, managing director at N Family Club says, ‘Being a B Corp means we’re always accountable and are committed to continuous improvement. It also supports our purpose and gives us a platform to inspire change in our sector’.
