After ten years in business, BAPN managing director Tricia Pritchard has decided to close the association for nannies this month and retire from the sector after an ‘extremely difficult couple of years’.
It comes as she marked 36 years in the sector this year, supporting nannies for over half of her life.
A leading figure in the industry, she has long-campaigned for nanny registration and to professionalise the sector.
BAPN will still be running its NannyHub at the Nursery World show in February 2022 however – its last engagement.
In a personal message from Ms Pritchard on BAPN’s website, she states, ‘It is with a heavy heart and after much discussion with family and friends, that I’ve decided to retire, bringing BAPN to a close.
