
Knowing when to start potty training and how to go about it can be daunting for parents so ERIC, the children’s bowel and bladder charity, has updated advice on its website to enable early years practitioners to work together with families.

The charity also has a new online course ‘Supporting Children’s Toilet Training’ especially designed for early years professionals. The next half day course is scheduled for 16 June.
It looks at the problems that can arise during toilet training and gives best practice advice on how to manage or overcome common childhood continence problems such as constipation, day time wetting and behavioural issues, including fear of the toilet.
