The acquisition of the new site in Stockport, which will be renamed Hazel Tree Nursery and undergo refurbishment, was funded by money from Unity Trust Bank.
Together the three nurseries operated by Hignett provide 200 childcare places.
Danielle Hignett, who previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry, is also in the process of setting up a Montessori training academy in Manchester.
Pre-school operator expands
The owner of Tender Tots Childcare, a pre-school operating from a church hall in Doddinghurst, Essex, has bought Goldcrest Nurseries – a group of two settings.
Combined, the nurseries in Billericay and Stanford-le-Hope provide care for a total of 62 children.
Natasha Satterthwaite, expert sales negotiator at Redwoods Dowling Kerr, who handled the sale, said, ‘I’m so pleased that we have managed to complete the sale of Goldcrest Nurseries. I’d like to wish the vendors the very best of luck in their retirement and the buyers every success moving forward with their new business’.
