A bus for us
Children at Educare Nursery in Whitehaven, Cumbria, celebrated Big RhymeTime Week, organised by Cumbria County Council, with a series of specialevents across five days. The highlight of the week was the arrival of abus for Wheels on the Bus day, when the children took turns inpretending to be bus drivers.
Soaring sunflower
Mill Hill Pre-School in London reports that children were astounded tofind that one of the sunflowers they had planted in the setting's gardengrew to more than 12 feet tall.
Going over the bridge
Children at Shipston Pre-School in Warwickshire learned the value ofteamwork when they worked together to create a bridge from crates,boxes, wood and rope to re-enact the story of The Three Billy GoatsGruff. Deputy manager Rachel Rossiter said, 'The idea of building thebridge together was to support the children's transition from pre-schoolto school.'
