BRIGHT HORIZONS
Several nurseries run by Bright Horizons have been raising money for Children in Need.
Sale Day Nursery and Preschool (right) raised money with a pyjama day, cake sale, raffle and a duck race. Nursery manager Jenni McDougall said, ‘We have raised more than £300. Everyone has enjoyed raising money for a great cause.’
Meanwhile, children at Bright Horizons Broadgreen Day Nursery and Preschool in Liverpool (main image) played pin the bow on Pudsey, made biscuits and created their own Pudsey pictures at their local library, raising £160.
Children at Bright Horizons Nursery on the Green and Pre-school in Frimley Green, Surrey, (below), also raised money by bringing decorated Smarties tubes filled with money into nursery, as well as enjoying a teddy bears’ picnic.
ROSEDENE
Rosedene Nursery Kader in Acklam, Middlesbrough, was visited by Pudsey Bear during a day of raising money through a sing-a-thon, cookie decoration and giant Pudsey painting. All 14 Rosedene settings across Tees Valley and North Yorkshire got involved in raising money for this year’s Children in Need.
LITTLE ACORNS
Toddlers from Little Acorns Nursery Stockton Heath in Warrington (above) dressed up for Children In Need and took part in lots of fun activities including a cake sale, biscuit decoration and a colouring-in competition.
Staff and children at Little Acorns in Gomersal (below) raised over £100 with a Great Nursery Bake Off. Staff baked with the children each day, competing to be judged ‘Star Baker’, and parents also donated to daily bake sales.
STEPPING STONES
Children at Stepping Stones Day Nursery Lingley Mere came into nursery dressed in pyjamas or spots. The children also got to meet Pudsey Bear.
KIDDI CARU
At Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Whiteley, children and staff had fun wearing their pyjamas and participating in a bike challenge (below). They also enjoyed baking and buying baked goods to raise money.
WINCHCOMBE FARM
Children at Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery paid £1 each to wear spots at nursery, baked spotty cakes to sell to parents and decorated the nursery with spots of paint. They also set up a ‘spare change circle’ in the front driveway where parents threw their coins as they dropped off their children.
