The Department for Education (DfE) has confirmed that CO2 monitors are currently being dispatched to early years providers, including nursery schools and PVI settings.
Childminders working in groups of three or fewer are not included in the roll-out of the monitors as most do not operate in an appropriate space, says the DfE.
The DfE announced in August that it would supply air quality monitors to nurseries and pre-schools after stating the monitors would be provided to schools from September.
Eligible settings will receive an email directly from the supplier once their monitor allocation is dispatched. All deliveries are expected to have taken place by the end of the Autumn term.
