Cheshire based nursery group Kids Planet has opened a new 1.2m setting, bringing the total number of nurseries in the chain to seven.
The new nursery in Prestwich in Greater Manchester was opened last week and provides 126 childcare places and employs 40 staff.
The £1.2m purpose built setting has a finger print entry system, CCTV installed throughout and a sensory room.
It is Kids Planet’s seventh nursery with other settings in Hale, Cheshire, Lymm, Warrington, Widnes and Crewe, Cheshire, which the group acquired from another provider last October.
A grand opening was held at the nursery in Bridge Farm, Crewe, last month following a refurbishment of the setting.
The group plans to open three more nurseries in and around Cheshire in the next 18 months, bringing the total number of settings to ten.
Kids Planet was set up in 2008 by owner Clare Roberts who was struggling to find a suitable nursery for her daughter.
Ms Roberts, chief executive of Kids Planet, said, ‘We have been very successful from the start and feedback from parents has been excellent. Our success is down to continually striving to achieve the highest possible standard of care within modern, unique, physically and emotionally secure environments and the new nursery will enable the parents of this area and their children to benefit from our already proven and preferred standards of care.’
