Nursery worker cleared of cruelty

Nursery worker Laura Pettitt has been cleared of charges that she shook, dropped and force-fed babies in her care.

Ms Pettitt was accused of child cruelty against ten babies while working as baby room manager at Little Stars Nursery in Bromley, London, between 2006 and 2008. A jury at Croydon Crown Court cleared her of all charges. Ms Pettitt said staff at the nursery had invented malicious lies.
