CARNIVAL TIME

Children at Tootsies Day Nursery in Farnham, Surrey dressed as clowns, acrobats and lion tamers to take part in the Farnham Carnival. The theme of the carnival was 'Farnham's got talent'.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WACKY TROUSERS

At Attimore Barn Pre-School in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, children and staff donned outrageous trousers to mark Wrong Trousers Day on 24 June, in aid of the Wallace and Gromit Children's Foundation.

EXCELLENCE IN KINCARDINESHIRE

Staff, parents and children at Poppies Pre-school Nursery in Kincardineshire, Aberdeenshire, have been celebrating after receiving a glowing report from HMIE. Inspectors awarded the setting two points of excellence, the equivalent of Ofsted outstanding, and three points for aspects of practice that they deemed 'very good'.

TODDLE WADDLE

Bank Hall Kindergarten in Leyland, Lancashire held a Barnardo's Big Toddle to raise money for the children's charity. Parents and grandparents joined the children, who dressed as animals for the theme, 'toddle in the jungle'.

BYE, WEMBLEY

Willowtree Nursery in Wembley, Middlessex, held a graduation day to say goodbye to the children leaving to start school. The event ended with a concert and tea party.

TICKLED PINK

Kinder Park Nursery in Carlisle held a strawberry tea in aid of UK charity Breast Cancer Care. The setting raised more than £80 through the sale of cakes and potted plants.

NEW BALLS, PLEASE

Children at Churchfield House Day Nursery and Pre-School in Weybridge, Surrey, were inspired by Wimbledon to take up tennis. The pre-school children also made their own tennis pictures based on Wimbledon brochures, tickets and pictures.

LEYTONSTONE OPENING

Davies Lane Children's Centre in Leytonstone was officially opened by the Daycare Trust's chief executive Anand Shukla last month. He was joined by the deputy director of children's services in the London borough of Waltham Forest, Leora Cruddas, and councillor Saima Mahmud.

 

GLASGOW GRAND

Staff at Green Acres Private Nursery in Glasgow raised over £1,000 in donations from doing Cancer Research's Race for Life. Staff wore t-shirts decorated by children for the summer race.

MUNNS FARM MASSIVE

Munns Farm Day Nursery in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, was visited by Conservative MP Oliver Heald and deputy mayor of Hertford Peter Ruffles to celebrate achieving an Ofsted outstanding award.
