
PYJAMA DAY
Children from the early years setting at St John's College in Southsea, Hampshire, wore their pyjamas to nursery to raise money for the brain injury charity Momentum. As part of the day's celebrations the children played party games, including Musical Bumps and Statues.
GREEN FINGERS
Children at Nursery on the Green in Frimley, Surrey, planted cucumbers, peas, beans and tomatoes in their new vegetable patch, which was created to teach them about healthy eating.
GREEN WEEK
Places for Children in Watford, Hertfordshire, organised a green week at the nursery so the children could learn about caring for the environment. During the week, the children planted seeds, recycled rubbish and made puppets out of old socks and materials. Parents were also encouraged to bring in any old clothes from home for recycling.
SKILLING UP
Little Echoes Day Nursery in Englefield Green, Surrey, held a party in celebration of all the nursery staff becoming qualified to NVQ Level 3.
LITTLE RIDERS
Little Acorns in Northampton took part in the NSPCC's Pedal Push. Deputy manager Jen Kerin said, 'Lots of children of all ages joined in and great fun was had by all.'
SLICE OF LIFE
Children from Lilliput Children's Centre in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, took part in British Sandwich Week on 16-21 May. They watched a film about Mr Nosey visiting a sandwich factory, and created their own sandwiches which were judged by a catering company.
BALLOONS AWAY
Willow Tree Day Nursery and Pre-school in Wembley, London, raised £100 for the Make-A-Wish charity by holding a balloon race. The children's balloons were found as far away as Kent and Belgium.
