
POLICE VISIT
Pre-school children at Stepping Stones Day Nursery in the Arboretum in Nottingham enjoyed a visit from the Nottinghamshire Police. The children got to sit in a police car, try on police hats and test the sirens and flashing lights. The local police explained about 'Stranger Danger' and what to do if they are ever in trouble or need help.
GRADUATION DAY

SUMMER TOTS
Toddlers at Alphabet House Day Nursery in Nottingham were excited to be able to go and play outside in the sunshine and could not wait to get their sunglasses on. They had hats and sun cream on too.
OLYMPIC FUN
Nurseries across the country have been celebrating the London Olympics by staging their own events.
Children at Blue House Day Nursery and Pre-School in Croydon (top) were invited to an Olympic-themed picnic, while London Early Years Foundation's Carlton Hill Community Nursery (bottom) held their own medal ceremony attended by three official Olympic volunteers.
Happy Days Children's Centre in South Elmsall, West Yorkshire, Wells House Kindergarten in Radcliffe, Manchester (top), Fledglings Day Nursery in Stretford, Greater Manchester, Kids in Bloom Nursery at Southdene Children's Centre in Kirby, Merseyside (middle) and childminders from Ely, Cambridgeshire (bottom) organised a mini Olympics sports day for children.
Children and staff at Ticklemetoo Childcare in Littlehampton (top) and the Childbase nursery group of more than 40 settings took part in torch relays.
Childbase's Knowle Green Day Nursery in Staines carried the torch on Harley Davidson motorcycles (bottom), while staff at the group's Woodlands Day Nursery in Barnet rode in a London taxi cab.
