Laura Henry, Nursery World contributor and managing director of training and business support company the Childcare Consultancy, has been appointed the UK's national representative for the World Forum Foundation on Early Care and Education.
The appointment runs until March 2012 and will include the World Forum's 2011 conference on 3-6 May in Hawaii for childcare professionals from across the globe.
Salena Fox, the forum's international relations co-ordinator, said, 'Laura's networking skills, enthusiasm and knowledge of the sector will prove vital in helping us further our mission to promote an ongoing global exchange of ideas on quality services for children.'
A former teacher and Ofsted inspector, Ms Henry has more than 20 years' experience in the early years and childcare sector.
She said, 'I am very excited and proud to take on this role.'
