On your marks to zoom for Oxfam

Nurseries and pre-schools are being encouraged by Oxfam to go on a 'Big Zoom' and hold their own mini motor racing Grand Prix.

Early years settings can choose their own sets of wheels - whether a scooter, buggy or trike - and hold events over several days or on one particular day during Big Zoom week from 13-19 June.

Oxfam hopes that its new annual event for under-fives, the first fundraising activity organised by the charity specifically aimed at toddlers and nurseries, will raise £1m over the next five years.

A free resource pack with activities linking the Big Zoom with themes and areas of learning in the EYFS will be sent to all settings registering to take part. The pack also includes stickers, certificates and sponsorship forms.
