A collection of tips, videos, case studies, downloadable tools and other ideas to help practitioners develop their provision for two-year-olds is now available on PACEY’s website.
The resources have been launched as part of PACEY’s Together for Twos project, grant funded by the Department for Education until March 2020.
The project aims to:
- grow the number of disadvantaged families taking up the two-year-old offer with childminders
- where appropriate, grow the number of childminders offering the entitlement using targeted social media campaigns, online resources and by providing Job Centre Plus with information about how to become a childminder or childminding assistant
- increase the number of delivery partnerships between schools, nurseries and childminders in target areas.
PACEY has also updated other areas on its website, including those which provide tips for parents of two-year-olds, business ideas for childminders and information and resources for Job Centre Plus staff.
Theresa Johnson, Together for Twos project manager, said, ‘PACEY are delighted to be able to share a range of resources aimed at supporting the valuable work you do when working with two year olds and their families. Whether you are currently delivering the early years entitlement or if it’s something you are considering, you'll find practical tips here to support you.’??
