Four-year-olds Daniel McGuire and Ruby Preston from Alderman Leach Primary School in Darlington, Co Durham, drew pictures of the setting's outdoor area in a free-flow activity where staff provided baskets of logs, twig pencils, clipboards, sticks and tree stumps.
Nursery teacher Helen Dummett said, 'It just goes to show how simple natural resources can evoke such interest and motivate the children in so many different ways.'
